Our Story

The Longs Arms is a beautiful country pub serving cask ale and fresh seasonal food in a relaxed environment with warm and friendly service. We are located in the heart of the lovely village of South Wraxall – just 3 miles from the picturesque town of Bradford on Avon, and 7 miles from the historical city of Bath.

The Sunday Lunch was exactly as I had hoped for. The tastes were amazing & the food plentiful. Quite often you go to a good restaurant & come away wishing you’d had more. I found the Yorkshire pudding, again delicious but too big for my plate & tummy. The roast potatoes were cooked to perfection crispy but fluffy inside!  We hadn’t room for a dessert so can’t comment but looked appealing. The staff were lovely, returned to see how it was going & if we needed anything & always with a smile. Well done!

We like to visit each year for an anniversary meal staying in the piggery next door. The food is always amazing and is very much high end pub food. The atmosphere is relaxed, and very homely and is exactly what you expect. We had dinner on a Saturday night. I didn't feel it was overly busy. Unfortunately this year we booked an hour earlier at 6.45pm. It took an hour to get out our first snack, it was good service after that until at the end it took 20 minutes to get the bill after asking twice with only 3 others dinners in the building. The meal took over 3 hours for 2 of us. We love it here but that was a little bit of a let down this time, I think we have to book later next time to get better service. As always the experience was outstanding. From the moment you enter the welcome is so friendly.  The staff are so helpful.

The good is exceptional. It is always exciting and perfectly executed.

I visited the Long’s Arms on 2 occasions with my daughter on a weekend break to the area. On both visits we felt very at home. The decor and environment was welcoming and comfortable. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and happy to serve us. As for the food!  Well it was awesome!  Can’t wait to visit again.
